At Nebula Ranch Pomskies, we take pride in the quality of our animals and prioritize their well-being above all else. We believe that each puppy deserves lots of love, attention, and exercise, and we strive to provide that for each litter. As a result, we have a limited number of animals available at any given time. However, we believe that this allows us to focus on the health and socialization of each puppy, ensuring that they are well-adjusted and ready to join their new families. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible experience, and we believe that our approach to breeding reflects that commitment.
We appreciate your interest in our puppies and understand that their health is of utmost importance to you. We assure you that we take every measure to ensure our puppies are healthy and happy.
Before Receiving Your Puppy
At Nebula Ranch Pomskies, we prioritize the health and well-being of our puppies. We start by breeding healthy parents who undergo a complete health exam and have their DNA screened to ensure they are healthy. We also provide our puppies with proper care and nutrition, including regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and a healthy diet. Our goal is to provide our customers with happy and healthy puppies that will bring joy to their homes for years.
As a responsible breeder, Nebula Ranch Pomskies takes every measure to ensure the well-being of our puppies. We understand that you may have questions about the care and nutrition of our dams during pregnancy. To ensure the health of our dams and their puppies, we provide them with dietary supplements while they are pregnant. These supplements are carefully chosen to provide the necessary nutrients for a healthy pregnancy and to support the development of strong and healthy puppies. We believe that this is an integral part of our breeding practices.
We have a strict protocol to ensure that our puppies are receiving enough nourishment and growing appropriately. We weigh our puppies at birth and daily thereafter to ensure they gain enough weight. If they are not, we supplement their diet accordingly. We also deworm, vaccinate, and take them for a complete health exam. We are committed to providing our puppies with the best care possible before they embark on new adventures with their forever families.
As part of our regular care routine, we clean after the puppies several times daily to ensure their living area is clean and comfortable. We also give the puppies regular baths to keep them clean and healthy. Additionally, we replace their water and disinfect their dishes often to maintain their hygiene.
We hope this information helps and are always here to answer any questions.
After Receiving Your Puppy
We recommend that you take your new puppy to your licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of picking up your puppy. This will allow your veterinarian to thoroughly examine your puppy and ensure that it is healthy and free from any health issues.
In the unlikely event that your veterinarian finds that your puppy is not "fit for sale," we offer a full refund. We require a written certificate from your licensed veterinarian stating the health problem to receive a refund. Please note that this offer is valid for 72 hours after you receive your puppy. We take the health and well-being of our puppies very seriously, and we stand behind the health of every puppy we sell.
You Are Responsible For Keeping Your Puppy Healthy
We want to ensure that your new puppy has the best start in life, including proper veterinary care. We recommend you schedule an appointment with your licensed veterinarian as soon as your puppy arrives. Be sure to bring your puppy's vaccination certificate that you received from us to your appointment. This will help your veterinarian determine which vaccinations your puppy needs and when they should be administered.
In addition to vaccinations, we recommend you ask your veterinarian to perform a fecal exam on your puppy. This will help determine if your puppy needs to continue deworming and if any intestinal parasites need to be treated. If you have other pets, we recommend running a fecal test on them as well, preferably before your new puppy arrives. This will help ensure your new puppy is not exposed to any contagious parasites from your other pets.
Finally, we recommend keeping your new puppy off the ground in public areas. Shopping carts and other public-use items can also carry harmful viruses that may hurt your pup. Keep your puppy from other pets until it has received all three sets of puppy vaccines. We know you want to schedule those play dates, but it's best to wait. This will help ensure that your new puppy is not exposed to any contagious diseases while its immune system is still developing.
Feeding Your Puppy
We recommend you feed your puppy quality puppy-grade food until it is one year old. After that, you can make the switch to adult food. It's essential to choose a high-quality dog food containing all the necessary nutrients for your puppy's growth and development. We suggest researching and consulting with your veterinarian to find the best food for your puppy's specific needs.
We also recommend free feeding your puppy to ensure a healthy weight for the rest of its life. Free feeding means always keeping food in your puppy's bowl so that it can eat whenever it is hungry. This can help prevent overeating and obesity, which can lead to health problems later on.
If you give your puppy human food, it's important to research to make sure you are not feeding your puppy anything that might be toxic to dogs. Some human foods, such as chocolate and grapes, can be harmful or even deadly to dogs. Sticking to dog food and treats specifically made for dogs is best.
Finally, replacing your puppy's water often is important to ensure it always has access to clean, fresh water. This can help prevent dehydration and keep your puppy healthy and happy.
We hope these tips help you provide the best care for your new puppy. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
